Laurie LaJoie

Laurie LaJoie was plucked out of her pool three days before the shoot to play Marie France after a diligent search.
A chance stop by the film creator's sister-in-law's pool prompted the casting decision for the part.  A banker by trade,
Laurie's married name is Laurie Maselli but casting opted to use her French maiden name instead.

After the film "The Strange Case of Marie France" won best short film at the Newport International Film Festival,
and was being enthusiastically reviewed internationally, Laurie wrote, "I do not have any previous acting experience,
I did Vinny a favor and it was a lot of fun, but that is it for my acting resume!
